12 One-Time Use Cameras Lot Ideas

20250219_002344 I'm incredibly impulsive and ShopGoodwill is dangerous. But so lovable lol ugh. It's opened up my eyes on what direction my art can take and I know I'll discover more ways it's impacted me. This is one project I would never consider if it wasn't for this damn site.

I'd sometimes see lots of disposable cameras and one bid did not work out. But this is much better as they're all completely new and still wrapped in plastic. The shipping was a bitch, from across the nation in Cali, but honestly cost effective given how much one-time use cameras can cost in stores.

I just looked it up and it's $19.99 each at Target. The reviews are terrible lol but that's helpful to make the project oriented towards conceptual and less on perfection.

They all expire on September 30th 2025. There's seven full months left til then and I think it'd be cool to use one camera per month, fully. For the five left over, it'd be cool to have each one dedicated to a specific purpose. Like only bring it out when a theme or motif occurs. But what?

20250219_002359 The cool thing is they glow in the dark hehe. And honestly, crappy quality/expectations can be freeing. I feel like I can do a lot more with something limited than pristine. I'd go for more things and experiment. I just need to label each of the six cameras I'll be carrying at once haha. I have nine days to figure it out but I won't be beholden to any themes. Except for the monthly, I want to keep to that.

I actually like that I have a shorter deadline than a year. It'll force me to use them which is good 'cuz I tend to dawdle and take too long. Urgency can be a brilliant ignition.

Hopefully I'll update once I get this project going. I'm excited by what I'll learn and how I'll change, maybe even my life. I want to be open to possibility and I believe this will definitely do that.
